Rebecca & Jerry Renewed Wedding Vows On 11/11/11

November 11, 2011 (a.k.a. 11/11/11) is a big day for mathematicians, historians, numerologists, and the like. Celebrities? Not so much. Aside from Rebecca Romijn and Jerry O’Connell, that is.

“If we happen to look at our phone and it’s 11:11, one of us always texts the other,” says O’Connell. The significance of the numbers for the O’Connell-Romijn clan comes from their numerical symmetry: “There’s two of us – Rebecca and I – and the two of our kids,” explains the actor, 37.

So the couple decided that Friday, 11/11/11 was a day worthy of celebration.

“A couple of nights ago, I said to Rebecca, ‘We should renew our vows at 11:11 and 11 seconds on 11/11.’ And she said, ‘We should do it at 11th Street and 11th Ave. ‘ ” (The family is in New York while O’Connell is starring in Seminar on Broadway.)

So on Friday morning, the duo headed towards the Hudson River for the very private (just the two of them) ceremony. “I didn’t think it was gonna be so emotional, but it kind of was … I think I was more emotional than my wife,” admits the actor.

While the two won’t have time for an 11/11/11 honeymoon, O’Connell will, as usual, get home as fast as he can after his performance Friday night. “I feel bad leaving my wife alone with those two crazies,” he jokes of daughters Dolly and Charlie, who turn 3 next month.

Hardly a bridezilla, Romijn, 39, only had one request for their vow renewal: clothing with vertical stripes that look like the numerical date.

“She wanted us to wear cordouroys somewhere,” says O’Connell. “It’s the fabric of 11/11.”

‘Chuck’ spies Rebecca Romijn for sexy, dangerous role

Rebecca Romijn proved she can kick major butt in the X-Men films and now, she’s bringing her lethal moves to Chuck‘s final season.

EW has learned exclusively that the actress will appear in the sixth episode of the upcoming season (which starts Oct. 21) as Robin Cunnings, an elite Special Agent with the CIA who’s as cold and calculating as she is sexy, and is known for her barbaric (yet highly effective) interrogation techniques.

As expected, her appearance brings nothing but bad news for Chuck and Co. Her character is said to be a member of a rogue group within the CIA that is planning to frame Chuck for the crime of the century.

Romijn, who is currently appearing on the Adult Swim comedy series NTSF:SD:SUV, last graced network TV on ABC’s Eastwick and Ugly Betty.

“NTSF:SD:SUV” Gets Picked Up

One of Rebecca’s new projects, “NTSF:SD:SUV”, has been picked up by the Adult Swim network! No word on when the show will actually premiere on TV, but I’ll be sure to post once that information is available.

Adult Swim continues to push rip apart the envelope with some fantastic late-night alternative comedy offerings. Listen to these two new shows they’ve just ordered to series. NTSF:SD:SUV (National Terrorism Strike Force: San Diego: Sport Utility Vehicle) will premiere this summer and stars Paul Scheer (who also created it), Rebecca Romijn, and Rob Riggle as an elite team of badasses who protect the San Diego border. The Heart, She Holler premieres this fall and stars Patton Oswalt in a soap opera set in a hillbilly town that’s inbred beyond belief. Why can’t network comedies sound this good? The two new shows join Eagleheart and Children’s Hospital, two vastly under-Twittered about comedies.

Tyler Perry has set Rebecca Romijn for Good Deeds, the film that Perry will next direct for Lionsgate for 34th Street Films. Shooting starts April 25 in Atlanta. Romijn will play a former corporate executive who prefers motherhood. Perry plays the title character, Glen Deeds.

The film also will star Thandie Newton, Phylicia Rashad, Gabrielle Union, Brian White, Eddie Cibrian, and Jamie Kennedy. Romijn is best known for playing the Mystique role in the X-Men movies.
